Domitian, as Caesar, 69-81. As (Copper, 26 mm, 10.67 g, 6 h), Rome, 77-78. CAESAR AVG F DOMITIAN COS V Laureate head of Domitian to right. Rev. S - C Spes advancing left, holding flower in her right hand and raising skirt with her left. BMC 745A. Cohen 453. RIC 1053. An attractive example with a lovely reddish patina and a beautiful portrait. Minor corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.

From a Belgian collection, ex Tradart 21, 15 February 2018, 117, previously acquired from M.-M. Bendenoun in the mid to late 1970s and from the collection of Théophile Le Chapelain.
